Rick Allen, of The Kenspeckle Letterpress, says he often does his creative visioning over a pint at Fitger’s Brewhouse. He is also one of our favorite artists in the Northland. So having Allen, also one of Duluth’s most notable artists, design a piece of art for the Superior Trail IPA seemed like a perfect match.
“It’s been years since Rick has done a piece of art for us,” said Brad Nelson, Marketing Director for Fitger’s Brewhouse. “He did the Chester Creek Pale Ale artwork, which we love. But we rarely have that beer on tap anymore. We wanted something new and fresh from him that we could do more with. His work is so iconic to Duluth and the North Shore, it just seemed like an ideal matchup and we were right. We love this art.”
The new artwork will be available for purchase as prints, T-shirts, and pint glasses, as well as other merchandise items yet to be conceived. Allen’s artwork will also hang at the Minnesota State Fair Craft Beer Village along with Fitger’s Brewhouse art by Chris Monroe, David Moreira, and Adam Swanson.
