Saison is an uncommon style of beer from the French speaking part of Belgium. Saison (french for “season”) was traditionally brewed in small farmhouse breweries. It was made in the spring for consumption in the summer. In the days before refrigeration, brewing in the summertime was problematic.
This beer is light in color with a complex finish. It has some of the typical Belgian ale character plus notes of peppers, citrus, earth and spicy hop.
