Achtung! Oktoberfest Duluth 2014 is almost here! On September 19 & 20th we will have Oktoberfest events happening at four of our locations. This will be our fifth year hosting Oktoberfest celebrations in Duluth, but the original Oktoberfest began in Germany nearly 200 years ago to celebrate the marriage of Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese of Bavaria. The party was so fun they decided to have one every year! The celebration is now synonymous with beer, bratwurst, and general brew-ha-ha. We love to be able to bring our version of this historic celebration to our favorite town.
The party kicks off on Friday, September 19th at the Redstar Bar with live polka music from the Chmielewski Funtime Band at 9pm as well as some live polka across the hall at Fitger’s Brewhouse.
Saturday afternoon the fun rolls on outdoors at our newest location, the Endion Station Public House. The Chmielewski Funtime Band will perform from 1pm – 6pm. Check out German food specials and beer to accompany Hammerschlagen on the deck.
Keep up the fun at the Fitger’s complex with a premo German beer tapline at the Brewhouse, polka music, and games on the stage between sets. Sign up to compete in Masskrugstemmen (beer stein holding) at 10pm, the Kraut Eating Contest at 11pm, and the Team Boot Chug at Midnight. Across the hall at Redstar the games continue with Hammerschlagen and beer pong throughout the night.
Anytime that week, enjoy an authentic German dinner at Tycoons.
